Los Angeles based triple-hyphenate Teather is writing, performing and producing her own music. Imbuing stories of fantasy, morality and emotional sensitivity upon electronic, hazy trip-hop, and pop soundscapes, Teather is able to cast a light on those who feel bruised yet inspired by their own power, wisdom, and perspective.

A self-proclaimed purist, it’s very clear that intention is vital to Teather’s artist project. From confirming her inspiration and connection to music through teaching herself how to produce in her garage, to not listening to music while writing her own, to profoundly transmuting her energy through live performance, Teather’s music has been described as deeply sensual, daring, thought-provoking, and incomparable.  

Teather’s hush, high-slung, soothing vocals against stark basslines, collected drums, and electronic sonic imagery lends themselves wholly to fans of FKA twigs, Portishead, Grimes, and more.

Teather has performed in dozens of venues, most recently on tour with Finnish electro-pop mainstays Pearly Drops. Teather’s music has been featured on official playlists including Spotify Lorem, Fresh Finds Dance, and SoundCloud’s Tomorrow’s Hits Today: Fizz. 

Her debut album It Was Only Perfect Because It Was Never Real is a true testimony to her artist project: to chase beauty and desire within your own life is to never be without inspiration— in ten conscious and intuitive compositions, Teather has paved the foundation necessary in order to continue to create and taunt the unknown.
